Senior year is such a momentous moment! The passage from the teenage years into the adult years. The baby bird leaving the nest.
I like to do my senior sessions in studio and on location. I recommend several outfit changes, however, if I think something is inappropriate for the session, I will not photograph the senior wearing it. I don’t “pose” the seniors a lot, instead i “tweak” their natural pose. I want the senior, and their families to recognize the personality of the senior in the pictures.
Depending on the time we start the session, Seniors will get approximately 30 min in studio shooting, and 1 hour on location shooting. I find that parents and grandparents usually are drawn more to the “in studio” formal looking images, and the Seniors are drawn to the on location images which usually have a little more personality!
If seniors play sports, have a car they really like, or play a musical instrument, all of these things, and many other things can be worked into the session.
Also available for seniors, are photo graduation invites. I recommend purchasing them in the 5×7 size, possibly with the front being one single picture, that way you have actually mailed each person who receives one a 5×7 image of your senior.
